Il Risveglio di una Tigre - "The Awakening of a Tiger" - brings together a group of new ceramic sculptures built around the recurring figure of the tiger, a motif rooted in the artist's years as an athlete and in the archetypal imagery of her childhood. The exhibition traces a quiet arc from threat to repose: works are shown roaring, mid-motion, and finally at rest, each rendered in hand-built glazed ceramic with passages of 24-karat gold. The series continues Babay's ongoing exploration of strength as something held rather than performed - a theme central to her practice since her early training in sport.
